Stuart has mediated a variety of Environmental disputes, domestic and international, including disputes related to environmental technology patents and intellectual property, nuisance and negligence relating to odour, noise, dust, airborne pollutants and pests, group claims by small and large groups of neighbouring residents, claims in respect of landfill sites, mineral extraction, environmental permits, public health issues, water treatment facilities, large group claims against local authorities, judicial reviews including in respect of culling programmes, compliance of, and scientific research relating to, building products and asbestos claims.  Claim values range from small sums up to in excess of £100m.

It was a difficult case. Stuart got a very quick grip of the case, he did very well in terms of the pre-mediation both reading and discussion with the lawyers to get on top of it. He was well ready to deal with the first day of the mediation. I was comfortable to rely on Stuart's judgement as to the best way to handle the mediation perhaps to a greater extent than I have been with other mediators, because I really felt that he'd invested the time to understand the dynamics.
