A large portion of Stuart’s mediation work now is International, either in the sense that parties from multiple jurisdictions are involved, that the dispute is being pursued in other (sometimes multiple) jurisdictions, that foreign or religious laws are engaged, that international arbitration is involved or that the subject-matter spans jurisdictions, for example in the case of shipping disputes or worldwide patents.

Our experience of him was very, very positive - I felt he did more than we were expecting of him and he kept in touch with us. He really did work very hard to get both parties to settle. I think he went beyond what we would necessarily have expected from a mediator, and I would probably go as far to say that we may have not resolved it without his assistance.
