Neighbour and Boundary disputes are often entrenched and relatively costly (financially and emotionally) compared to the financial value of the issue in dispute.  Often a site visit and a meeting with each party in their own property is helpful.  Stuart has a good body of experience of these disputes, including disputes between residential neighbours, sometimes involving aggression to varying degrees up to and including the use of firearms, disputes with neighbouring churches and businesses, group actions for nuisance, claims for contamination by farmers and other neighbours, and disputes over rights of way and restrictive covenants.

He was very, very good. I found his manner and style to be very relaxed, and it created a good atmosphere. As is often the case with mediation, we'd got two parties who didn't really like each other, and certainly my client was initially very reluctant even to be in the same room as the other party, and Stuart did encourage my client to do that, and it did mean that we had a slightly better atmosphere for reaching a compromise.
